Can a plaintiff/Car Co seize my vehicle that is in both my husbands and my name when the debt was in my name?

I had a car repossessed in 2008, due to job being outsourced, tried to work with the car co, they refused any payment I offered or could afford, I"ve been to court 2x and they didn't show up either time, and now we have vehicle in both our names and there is no lien on it, and the debt was in my name only can they still seize the vehicle?
