My parents think that every boy friend is a boyfriend?

Im a 16 yr old girl. Ok so im a new kid this year and basically im over all the girls and there ***** fights, I have one girl friend who hangs with me too. I find it so much easier to hang with guys as they understand me and are polite. But they are just my friends at the moment. But my mother got all worked up when one of my guy friends walked me to the car. Dad got confused when one rung me. Basically they always question any friend that is a boy. I always answer back with we are only friends. But im worried when I do get a boyfriend however old I am they will change and be like oh we thought you were only friends. Ah i just dont understand and its been like this since i was 12!
