If you where in a car crash in you are a old man that used to get around just fine?

My grandpa was in a car crash to years ago that made it for him to do the things that he used to they tryed to make him settle for 50,000 but he could pull that in befor the year would be over if he could get around like he used this crash left him damage now its like the insurance company is waiting on him to die can they be up helded for his death to cause this whole thing has really stressed him out cause he is so used to taking care of his family and now he can't and it killing him slowly
